So nice to hear these beautiful, traditional Christmas songs. The Target I work in plays nothing but modern stuff which is just a repeating of lines such as "I'm getting nothing for Christmas.' We don't even get to hear Bing Crosby's 'White Christmas.' The older I get the more I appreciate songs like 'Joy to the World', etc.
Growing up in Cincinnati on a cul-de-sac the homes at one end always put up a Nativity scene that was spread out over several of the yards. Nights they would play Christmas music until about 11 p.m. Things like 'The First Noel', etc. I can still remember standing out in the snow looking up at the beautiful night sky and the stars and listening to those songs.
